Timeline of Oil Leak in Gulf of Mexico: Evidence Proves It is Worse Than Company Claims and They Can’t Stop It.

I first learned about this oil leak from a Seaplane pilot as we were flying back from the site of the BP blowout in June, 2010. Since then, I have documented this leak on at least 20 different occasions by plane and boat. I have included footage from some of my trips in this video. The oil is coming from multiple wells that were damaged when a platform owned by Taylor Energy company was toppled over during Hurricane Ivan in 2004. Nothing that Taylor or the government has done has been successful in stopping the oil from bleeding out into the Gulf marine environment. The plan now is to simply let it keep leaking and that could go on potentially for another 100 years. When the oil industry claims that offshore drilling is safe, remember this video and share it. While the Trump administration is planning to open up the Atlantic Ocean along the East coast and the Arctic, remember and share this video. They cannot stop this leak in the Gulf yet are claiming emphatically that offshore drilling is safe. Speak truth to power and share this video.

  1. Hi Jonathan. Want to ask if you may have a misprint of the. at the start of the column where you first learned of this, the date reads 2010. Did you mean 2004? Thank you very much !

    • No, that is correct. I learned about it in June of 2010 when I was flying back from the BP blowout. I might have heard something about it before then but never really paid it any mind until I saw it first-hand for the first time.
